Vancouver Canucks
LED Mapped Installation

For the start of the 2013-2014 NHL season, the Vancouver Canucks requested something unique to amplify their on-ice game presentation; a system of over 34,000 LED pixels embedded directly into the stanchions between each panel of Plexiglas surrounding the playing surface, and mapped into a double-layered, 360-degree video image.

We worked with system developer and lead supplier Solotech to integrate 76 universes of ArtNet data, driving 36,480 pixels in real-time from a Hippo Grasshopper. This media is ultimately cued by a Road Hog console, along with the Canucks' existing lighting and projection-mapped video presentations.
